South Side Riverfront Public Art Dog Walk

  • South Side Riverfront Park (map)

From the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council…

Bring your dog and spend an evening in the South Side Riverfront Park, one of Pittsburgh’s first riverfront parks. The park could be called the birthplace of the regional Three Rivers Heritage Trail system. Extending underneath the Birmingham Bridge along the Mon River in Pittsburgh’s South Side neighborhood, the park features picnic space, a public boat launch, and canoe launch. Located within the park are three public artworks which include a color block mural by Chenoae Kim, Tim Kaulen's The Workers, and James O'Toole's Steelworkers Monument. Tour-goers will learn about the development of the park and the incorporation of public artwork. Part of this text was taken from River Life's website describing the park.
