The South Side Soup Contest is an annual fundraising event brought to you by The Brashear Association and the South Side Chamber of Commerce. Launched in 2005, The Contest began as a way to showcase all that our community has to offer, generate more foot traffic in local businesses, and serve up delicious soup. Today, it has become a celebrated and eagerly-anticipated event!

The 16th Annual South Side Soup Contest is your chance to sample some of the neighborhood’s best restaurants while enjoying the vibrant business community of South Side. Twenty-five South Side Chefs each will donate fifteen to eighteen gallons of delicious, secret recipe soup to be tasted at small, independent businesses along the soup contest route on the South Side. After the tastings, soup tasters will text votes for the people’s choice best soup, best vegetarian soup, most unique soup, and best host! Votes will be tallied, and trophies will be delivered to the Chefs with the winning soup!
