About
Originating
in the early 1930s, the present day South Side
Chamber of Commerce remains an integral thread
in the fabric of the South Side business community.
Boasting over 150 business members, the Chamber
represents the collective interests of businesses
in the district and serves as a strong political
and economic voice in the local community and
throughout the city of Pittsburgh. Some
of Pittsburgh’s great leaders are supporters
of the South Side Chamber of Commerce. (For Example) In addition to its political and economic duties,
the Chamber, along with residents and local business
owners, successfully promote the many amenities
the South Side area has to offer both to visitors
and residents of the city of Pittsburgh and surrounding
areas. To do so, the Chamber hosts various
cultural events and festivals to promote the
booming economy in Pittsburgh’s South Side. |
